2016 Registration Update

Still_01We are just 11 days into camper registration for our 2016 programs and we’re already full in many programs and sessions. The pace is unlike anything we’ve seen in previous years and has unfortunately caught many families by surprise. Our enrollment today is equivalent to what we reached on February 4 last year. Why? My sense is that it’s a combination of factors: the high quality of our programs, increased retention, greater demand from new families, parents enrolling their children in more weeks of camp, and confidence in the economy…to name a few. We place limits on our capacity in each program to maintain the quality of our camper experience and the intimacy of our community.

If you find yourself on a waitlist for one or more of our sessions, we encourage you to exercise patience as we continue towards the summer. In our experience, many families do end up dropping sessions for a variety of reasons, leading us to contact families on our waitlist. Bear in mind, this usually happens as we near the March 1 deadline when deposits become non-refundable. As of today the following programs and sessions have filled and gone to a waitlist:

Lower Camp – For campers entering Pre-K and K, we are full in sessions 2 and 3 but have availability in sessions 1 and 4. For campers entering nursery (3yr. olds), we have space in all 4 sessions.

Middle Camp – Full in sessions 2, 3 and 4. Limited availability in session 1.

Upper Camp – Full in sessions 2 and 3. Availability in Session 1. Session 4 only has space available for rising 3rd graders.

Counselor-in-Training (CIT) – Both sessions are full.

Trip Camps – Into the Woods is nearly full in weeks 3 and 5. Peak and Paddle is nearly full in session 2.

As always, please feel free to contact our office with any questions. Sue, Eileen and I would be happy to discuss how this situation affects your family for the coming summer.
