But there are also tons of fun, educational, and even thrilling adventures happening off campus throughout the summer as well. This session, four of our Trips Camps have been in operation. They are Extreme Sports, Peak and Paddle, Daytrippers, and Into the Woods.

In Extreme Sports, Kellie, Mike, and Erin have enthusiastically accompanied groups of fun-loving, bold, and friendly campers on a number of awesome adventure trips these past two weeks. This week’s group members all met last year and decided to sign up together so they could spend more time together this summer. For some in the group, the highlights of the session have included the thrills involved in indoor skydiving. Some are especially proud of their “extreme eating” event at Kimball Farms. Camper Constantine is proud of trying new things and grateful to his Extreme Sports buddies for gently pushing him out of his comfort zone. Still others, like Natalia, will happily look back after the summer’s end on bonding with friends on the bus to and from their adventures. Other Extreme Sports trips this summer have included zip-lining, kayaking at Essex River Basin, airsoft battles at Extreme Action Sports, climbing rock faces at Rockspot, and learning to surf with Peter Pan Surfing Academy. They’ve also gone go-carting at Checkered Flag in Haverhill, and learned to surf at Narragansett Beach. Campers say they’ll definitely be back next year for more fun with this incredible off-campus trips camp!

Peak and Paddle is the spirited group that travels, periodically overnight, to beaches, rivers, and forests throughout New England for canoeing, zip-lining, camping, climbing, swimming and playing and enjoying summer outside in general. Destinations this session have included Kittery Maine, Shawme Crowell State Forest, Cranes Beach, the Ipswich River, and Horseneck Beach.

Daytrippers’ destinations have included Patriots Hall of Fame, Canobie Lake Park, Six Flags, Water Country, and Singing Beach, among other scenic and highly entertaining locations. They’ve also gone whale watching, splashing at Coco Keys Water Park, and skating at United Skates of America.

For Into the Woods campers, favorite trips this session have included blueberry picking at Wards Berry Farm, meeting a three-day-old pig at Southwick Zoo, and playing and swimming on a gorgeous summer day at Nantasket Beach. They’ve also been to Drumlin Farm, Hale Reservation, Douglas State Forest, and nearby Great Brook Farm.

The final Beaver trips camp, Aqua Advenures, will be starting up Session Four, for two one-week sessions. For more information on Beaver Camp’s Trips Camps, check out details and photos on our website.
