Specialty Camp Spotlight: Beaver Off Broadway Steals the Show!

Beaver Off Broadway Specialty Camp delivered an amazing performance on Friday morning, capping off 2 weeks of practice and rehearsal.  We attended an extra special show, along with Beaver’s Lower Camp groups, and were blown away by the troupe’s singing, dancing, and acting!

Performing Arts Director Jeff Knoedler explains: “A lot of practice goes into preparing for the show.  We work on team building in addition to singing, dancing, and acting.  We want groups to be comfortable on stage together, as well as developing performance skills.”
Opting to go with a medley of upbeat and fun songs, such as “It’s a Hard Knock Life” from Annie and “Pandemonium” from the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, there was something for everyone!

“We consider each session’s campers when selecting our performance lineup.”  continues Jeff.  “We want to select songs that kids are interested in, but also can highlight their growth as a performer!”

The group rounded out their set with “We Go Together” from Grease, highlighting the entire cast!

And the Lower Campers were enthralled!

We chatted with the 3-year-old Bunnies following the show, and they gave rave reviews!  “Amazing!”  they exclaimed!  “Super good and fun!”

“We loved the dancing!”
