Top 10 Registration Tips

swim-lessonGiven that today is our first day of camper registration for 2015, we thought it might be helpful to share a few of our best tips, hints, and suggestions. Please read through them, and as always, give us a call if you have specific questions.

Register early. While we recognize that it’s challenging for families to plan their summers so far in advance, we encourage you to enroll now so that you don’t miss out on programs and sessions that your child is counting on. Our most popular sessions and programs often fill by sometime in January. Remember that our registration policies allow you to cancel a session up until March 1 and still get your deposit back.

Read our registration policies. Please make sure to fully read and understand our registration policies so you are aware of how much flexibility you have. Remember that all changes in registration must be conducted through the Camp Office and confirmed in writing.

Confirm your dates and mark them on your calendar. We all lead very hectic lives, so take the time now to mark your calendar with the critical dates including when your sessions begin and end. Also make sure to note important registration deadlines that occur between now and the start of camp.

Keep and eye out for your registration confirmation. After completing the online registration form, you will receive an email confirmation that verifies your enrolled sessions. We will also send all families a confirmation by US mail that will arrive within a week of registration…and include a small gift for you and your camper!

Invite a friend to join your children at Beaver. Most of our campers come to Beaver based on the referral of friends. Help introduce friends of yours to Beaver by having them visit our website, visit our campus at one of our Information Sessions, and join your children at Beaver for a session this summer!

Send your child to camp on the bus this summer. Simplify your life and avoid waiting at our afternoon pick-up. Bus transportation will again be offered to and from camp serving local communities. The specific routes and sign-up form will not be available until January 2015.

Expand your child’s programmatic horizons. Consider enrolling your child in one of our many specialty camps if they have an interest in the particular activity. Many campers turning 9 or 10 years old begin to diversify their summers while staying right here at Beaver, enrolling in both General Camp and one of our specialty camps in the arts, sports and trips.

Follow us on Facebook and Twitter. We regularly provide useful updates, tips, and info on our social media pages, especially during the summer!

Save your myBVR login information. Your password-protected account is your gateway to all of your camp information and should be used to access account statements, complete required camper forms and read your Parent Handbook.
