Building the Band
Ages: entering grades 4 through 8 in September 2024
Hours: 9:00 am-4:00 pm
More cowbell? This is your aspiring rock star’s chance to sing, write songs, choreograph moves, develop a stage presence and jam out with fellow musicians. We’ve partnered with Jammin’ With You, a Boston-based company who offers music lessons, to teach every kind of instrument to kids of all ability levels. At the end of this one-week session, your child will perform in a heartfelt Friday concert for family and friends. There’s only one thing left to say: rock on!
Sample Schedule

| 9:00-9:30 am | Music Circle — exchange music ideas, questions, solutions and create new music possibilities |
| 9:30-10:30 am | Music Breakthrough — where the musician learns to solve music challenges through instruction and new techniques |
| 10:30-11:30 am | Full Circle — everyone comes together and works on specific music for the concert at the end of the one-week session |
| 11:30-12:00 pm | Lunch outside on the terrace |
| 12:00-2:30 pm | Performance Techniques and Group Instruction (ensemble) — musicians play in an ensemble, learning the role of each instrument |
| 2:30-3:15 pm | Free swim in our 3 outdoor heated pools |
| 3:15-3:45 pm | Reflections — What did I learn today? What do I need to work on? What questions do I need to ask? |
| 3:45-4:00 pm | Pick-up |
Extended Day
Want more camp? You’ve got it. Our weekly Extended Day programs are available to all Building the Band for an additional fee. For more info, click here.
7:30-8:30 am – Drop off your camper up to an hour earlier than the regular drop-off at 8:30 am.
4:00-6:00 pm – Extend your camper’s day as late as possible to give them full access to more activities.
Bus Transportation
Why not let someone else be the driver? We’ll safely shuttle your camper to and from Beaver by bus. For more info, click here.
