Lower Campers enjoy Pirate Day and Splash Day
What a treat! Lower Campers usually stick to a normal daily schedule but on the first Friday of session four, all the Lower Campers got to spend a special morning celebrating Pirate Day and Splash Day.
In the front circle of camp was the Pirate Day celebration. At this event Lower Campers got to pretend to be a pirate and do fun pirate activities. The little pirates dug for buried treasure, got a gold coin and special necklace, walked the plank across inflatable shark infested water, got temporary tattoos and face paint, and played in the sprinklers.
On the Lower Field, Splash Day was all about playing with water. In order to keep cool in the hot summer day, campers had a car wash for toy cars, lounged on giant water beds, smacked water piñatas till they exploded, and fished for toy fishes.
These two events were a great way to start the day and made Session Four really special for the Lower Campers.
