Studio Art

Ages: entering grades 4 through 7 in September 2024
Hours: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Whether your child is the next Frida Kahlo or Leiko Ikemura or just likes to get creative, our Studio Art program delivers one week of hands-on artistic adventure. Our Visual and Performing Arts Center provides the perfect studio backdrop to inspire your child as they develop a foundation in the visual arts and explores their own creativity. Theme-based activities are led by our talented staff and take place both indoors and out. And, as is only fitting, at the end of the week, kids put on their own art show. Sign up for one week or two and let’s get creating!

Sample Schedule

8:30-9:00 am	Drop-off
9:00-10:00 am	Drawing self-portraits and still lifes (pencil, pen and ink, charcoal)
10:00-10:15 am	Morning snack
10:15-11:30 am	Watercolor painting or carving print plates
11:30-12:00 pm	Lunch on our outdoor terrace
12:00-12:30 pm	Relaxed time to hang out, listen to music and talk to counselors
12:30-2:50 pm	Sculpting (plaster, clay, wire) or book making
2:50-3:30 pm	Free swim in our 3 outdoor heated pools
3:45-4:00 pm	Pick-up

Extended Day

Want more camp? You’ve got it. Our weekly Extended Day programs are available to all Studio Art Campers for an additional fee.  For more info, click here.

7:30-8:30 am – Drop off your camper up to an hour earlier than the regular drop-off at 8:30 am.

4:00-6:00 pm – Extend your camper’s day as late as possible to give them full access to more activities.

Bus Transportation

Why not let someone else be the driver? We’ll safely shuttle your camper to and from Beaver by bus. For more info, click here.
