Lower Camp (PreK – K)

Ages: Children ages 3-5 entering Pre-K or Kindergarten in September 2024 (must be 3 by June 24, 2024)
Hours: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

Lower Camp gives young kids the opportunity to dip their little toe in the water, so to speak. It’s a nurturing, age-appropriate way to introduce them to everything that our camp experience has to offer. We’ve included all the exciting activities that your child wants (and lots of them) with the structured, daily schedule they need. Your child will play, learn and make friends in small groups of kids who are the same age. Each group is led by three of our experienced, engaging and caring counselors known for their gentle skill in priming kids for their life-long love of camp.

Pre-K Program

Your little camper will get one of the biggest welcomes in our program. Kids entering their first year of Pre-K are showered with individual attention by counselors who are trained and responsive to the needs of young children. Your child, along with 12 to 15 of their new friends, will participate in activities designed by our specialists to engage the mind, move the body and fuel anticipation for what’s next tomorrow.

Kindergarten Program

A little older: a bit bolder. Our program for rising Kindergarteners challenges your camper by introducing new skills and challenge within the same small and supportive group environment. Your child will stretch their physical and mental muscle by engaging in activities (supervised by our trained specialists, of course) like woodworking and the climbing wall during our daily High 5 activities. Plus, each group offers two swim periods per day: free swim in the morning followed by a Red Cross Water Readiness session in the afternoon. And, because Kindergarteners are starting to be independent thinkers, for one period each day, we give them the opportunity to choose between two different activities.

  • Swim Sessions – Daily Red Cross Water Readiness sessions are led by certified lifeguards and swim instructors in our outdoor heated pools
  • Free Swim – Kindergarteners have the option of an additional free swim each morning
